I miss my Borlas. I had dual Borlas with an Xpipe all the way out the back with stock manifolds. That setup was MUCH louder than the ARH with Magnaflow catback. I really like the tone of the Borlas. It was a little loud at 70mph with 3.73s but it was more of an overall sound of the exhaust than a cab drone. Didnt really resonate through the cab but I have the floor dynamatted too.

OK i kinda have a few more Borla questions. I have a bone stock 09 CCSB 4x4 with the 5.3 with AFM (airaid jr kit in my garage and I want to do an autocal later this year) Dont plan on much else till the warrenty is done.

I want to do a weld in Borla replacement of my stock muffler (hours of video clips and searching I think this is the sound I am after)

Which Borla muffler am I after? (part number)

I want better sound at WOT and a bigger better idle sound but not too loud. I dont want rasp (at all) and I want to try avoid drone on the hwy.

Correct me if I am wrong but it looks like most folks that weld in a replacement are looking for a 3" in and out with a center / offset config, right?

Now the ones I see on the Borla site are
Turbo - pn 40359 3" in and out offset/center - question it looks like the turbo mufflers are more for cars
Turbo XL - pn 40665 2.5" in and out offset/center - the xl's are supposed to be more for trucks but I dont see this in a 3" configuration only 2.5"
XR-1 sportsman - pn 40944 3" oval 16" length - this isnt offset so will this be a pita to install and will a 16" muffler be too loud?

am I missing something else (ive heard of Pro XS series as well but that seems to be for dealers)

anyway lots of questions hoping somebody can help.

Pro XS is as quiet as big-body Magnaflows initially, but after a few years, the insides burn out and they are loud. I can't speak to any of the other lines as I have not owned them. I will tell you that most say Flowmasters have more drone than other mufflers.

I'm pretty sure that you stock pipes are 3.5 and not 3"
