Default bore and stroke question

Can someone tell me the bore and stroke of the 4.8 and the 5.3 motors? I might be buying a complete 4.8 motor and my buddy said it was stamped 4.8 and 5.3 on the block. Can I turn the 4.8 into a 5.3? I really want a 5.3 but for $250 for a complete 4.8 minus a/c compressor and alt. I can`t pass it up. I`m going to put it in my 68 swb chevy with a 700R4 tranny. with gas prices getting higher, I don`t think the 454 bigblock I have would be gas friendly. Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the info. So I can just use a 5.3 crank and pisons with no modifications? Thanks again.
