A crazy wild cam in a 4.8 @ 7200 rpm w/ T56 and 4.44 be a dream 2800 lbs car

you'd still be better off with the 5.3. If you're really hard pressed to destroke, use a 4" bore block (Ls2, LQx) and a 5.3 crank.

Don't forget the z06 cam. I've heard those make great power w/ the 5.3L heads.

the 5.3 crank is the same as all the rest. the 4.8 and the ls7 are they only ones with drifferent cranks.

useing all stock 5.3 and 4.8 pistons is just a high compression 5.3.

So if the 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0 all have the same bore just different stroke, does that mean if you wanted to make your 4.8 into a 6.0 just add crank, rod and pistons to the 4.8 block and you have the 6.0? I am sure the heads would have to be different right?

The 6.0 has a bigger bore then the 4.8 and 5.3

Thanks brodystruck, I kinda figured it would have to be more to it than switching crank, cause then my 4.8 would be worth a ton more.

Now if I built up one of them High compression 5.3's, what kind of compression would I be looking at?

Basically I would have to look for a 5.3 crank and rods!
