correct. for example, 4.10 gears will get off the line better but will reduce top speed some. 3.23 gears would be better suited for the top end while sacrificing the take-off

[QUOTE=nightrunner;3668886]BOLT-ONS11. Fuel

After doing some or all of these mods you may need to upgrade your fueling components.

A 255lph fuel pump is a popular upgrade.

Could i run this pump rather then that one?

http://www.pacificp.com/store/index....roducts_id=141

Also would i need some kinda regulator for the pump. With a stock spider injection intake what kinda pressure do i wanna see idealing and what kind do i wanna see @ WOT

Sorry for the newbie questions im trying to learn this stuff

Ps its a 97 chevy with the 5.7

Didn't I read on here that a 2-piece driveshaft if safer at higher speeds (dyno) than a stock 1-piece?

yep thats the reason why the crewcab guys put a 2 piece drive shaft from an xcab in there crew
A long one piece shaft will flex at high speeds,there have been may explode on the dyno

Anyone ever get worse gas mileage with a cold air intake? I put an AFE stage 2 dry intake on my 03 with the 4.8 and it seems i loss 1 to 1.5 mpg. Only other "mod" is a magnaflow in place of the stock muffler.1 to 1.5 mpg doesn't seem like alot but when ya have the 34 gallon tank like i do , you sure notice a difference. I used to get at least 300 miles on a half tank and don't even get that anymore. I drove 280 highway miles yesterday and i used almost a half tank. Any ideas?
