Bolt on mods, which one
#1
Out of these choices which is the best mod. And also which would show the most e.t. drop/ bang for the buck?
1. Pulleys
2. e-fans
3. 3.73's
4. sway bars
I have a few questions about each.
The pulleys- if I got the crank pulley would I need the alt. pulley also, so my volts won't drop?
The e-fans- do you constantly have to turn them off and on when you get off and on the highway? Also does it drain your battery at idle or at any other point in anyway?
The gears- What all would I need besides the ring and pinion would I need to have the gears installed by a local shop?
Sway bars- do they help with traction?

for drag racing, somtimes people take off their sway bars, (in cars at least).. it helps from body roll.

If there an option 5 for a torque converter?
From a performance standpoint I'd say the 3.73s will give you a slight edge over the other mods. The pulleys and fans will be good for about a tenth (a few people have seen .10-.15 from the e-fans while the gears can be good for about 2 tenths in the 1/4.
You can install the fans and forget about them. The Flex-a-lite package comes with a controller that will turn them on and off as needed. They do drain some power but I haven't found them to be to bad. I run these along with alot of audio/video equipment in my Suburban with no problems. You'll need a complete installation kit for the gears. If you haven't done a swap before I would have a shop take care of it for you so they are set up correctly. A good install is very important for these.
