intake wont help much, well the ls1, maybe the ls6, the 4.8 needs alot of stall like a 3600 and you will also need 4.10 gears to help the tq of the 4.8, also head work does wonders for the 4.8 or any engine that is.

look up 01thunder on the board he is runnning a 224 224 in his 4.8 with good results.

no no pictures yet i just have the intake setting on the motor for now, i did the itake for clearance issues because i bodydroped my truck but actually i bought the intake off of ebay and it didnt come with any intake bolts do you know where i can find them?? im having a hard time with that also..but thanks for all the info you guys have given me so far you rock!

the chop and lope comes mostly from your amount of overlap a cam has not just LSA

to figure out overlap

take intake/exhaust duration and divide by 4
then subtract the lsa
then times it by 2

example

Trex
242/248 608/612 110

242+248=490/4=122.5-110=12.5*2=25 which is the amount of overlap the Trex has

you should get the 222/224...that one works great!! my friend has it on his 4.8 and is running a 13.4 all motor in mild weather and a 12.4 with nitrous....if i'm not mistaken he's the 2nd fastest 4.8 in the nation or around there.
