intake wont help much, well the ls1, maybe the ls6, the 4.8 needs alot of stall like a 3600 and you will also need 4.10 gears to help the tq of the 4.8, also head work does wonders for the 4.8 or any engine that is.
look up 01thunder on the board he is runnning a 224 224 in his 4.8 with good results.

no no pictures yet i just have the intake setting on the motor for now, i did the itake for clearance issues because i bodydroped my truck but actually i bought the intake off of ebay and it didnt come with any intake bolts do you know where i can find them?? im having a hard time with that also..but thanks for all the info you guys have given me so far you rock!

Or go to the part numbers thread I beleive in this section and ask what the number is them guys are really good on getting the number 2 ya. Also you will need some tuning done for the cam to work..

the chop and lope comes mostly from your amount of overlap a cam has not just LSA
to figure out overlap
take intake/exhaust duration and divide by 4
then subtract the lsa
then times it by 2
example

i'll get a sound clip of my truck for you when i get a chance if you'd like.. i havent actually got a clip of the new setup... but its a 224 on a 114 with gutted cats, as&m longtubes, and hooker aero chambers...

yea bro that wuld be awesome!! you guys are a really big help because i wanted to put a cam in my truck a while back and i called this place i seen in the streettrucks mag. i think it was voodoo cams or something and he was like noo man tha 4.8 is way a small engine u cant put a cam in there its not gonna run right and blah blah..im glad i found u guys

you should get the 222/224...that one works great!! my friend has it on his 4.8 and is running a 13.4 all motor in mild weather and a 12.4 with nitrous....if i'm not mistaken he's the 2nd fastest 4.8 in the nation or around there.
