You don't need a big cam to get the chop, order something on a 110lsa and it will lope its *** off.. The tr220 0n a 112 will sound nice in a 4.8, there are alot more but that is a fairly popular choice..

if you buy all new and have some one install it look at spending 1200 bucks for everything new and installed good luck

Now you can look in the parts forsale section and get everything for 600 installed, where ya from? you will also need a tune for the cam (depends on what you get)

good luck.

That is who makes the tr220, but a 112lsa will have more lope then the 114. Check out thunder racing or texas speed, they have alot of good grinds for the trucks.. yes you can get a kit with springs, rods..

You have pics of the intake on the truck??

intake wont help much, well the ls1, maybe the ls6, the 4.8 needs alot of stall like a 3600 and you will also need 4.10 gears to help the tq of the 4.8, also head work does wonders for the 4.8 or any engine that is.

look up 01thunder on the board he is runnning a 224 224 in his 4.8 with good results.

look up 01 thunder. i love the way his truck idles. his is a 4.8 with a tr224 on a 112 lsa. either a 3500-3600 stall is what he's runnin. he has some sound clips here somewhere.
