nothing should be in the way, cutouts are only about 10-12" long and if you install it a few inches in front of the muffler you should have no fitment issues at all. even if it doesnt emphasize the lope in your cam, which it should some, its still great to have on the truck. i find myself using it more and more every day since i got it installed. i think youll be happy with the way it sounds when you bypass the muffler! g/l man

Sounds like it's time to price an electric cutout. Is DHM the preferred brand?

Could be I've got about 900 miles on it now. But when you go from something that struggles to bark the tires off the line from a stop, to something that will anihilate them from the same, and break them loose at 25 MPH, it's hard not to be in love

Yeah, that's nice no doubt.

Now, I'm curious, what kind of gas mileage are you getting city and highway?

DMH makes a great cutout and they have good warranties for just in case something ever goes wrong. I strongly recommend going with them. My only complaint is the cutout pipe itself, not the motor or butterfly valve. He outsources the y-pipes and they arent the greatest...i had problems with the valve of the cutout hitting the inside weld of the 3 bolt flange, ended up not only having to grind down the weld but also put in 3 gaskets just to get the cutout to open and close without hitting it. Also, the hole that is cut at the y merge has ALOT of overhang which cuts down quite a bit on the size of the hole where the exhaust merges and exits the cutout. I saw a Summit brand cutout pipe today thats only like 20-30 bucks that has a much better construction and would work a lot better IMO. So when it comes down to it, id order the electric part from DMH and get the pipe from summit, again, just my opinion. Just dont want you to run into the same problems I did.

EDIT:: this is the pipe that i installed today on my friends 02 camaro with a 3' electric cutout, absolutely no clearance problems with the butterfly valve

I have a DMH 3" cutout, and all of the parts to put my new exhaust together, but unfortunately don't have the bucks to have someone weld it all up right now...I like the looks of the cutout and have heard nothing but good things about the quality of the DMH cutouts, and the customer service after the sale when there was a problem with the cutout. Plus, the 4 year warranty is unprecedented
