Default best upgrades?

on a new 4.8l crew cab what would you change with in reason. say if you had a 1000k limit. not that id do it all at once but over the course of 2 months or so.

what would you do.

i drive this truck 50-100 miles a day some times. it will also be a pre runner style setup on 37s so i may have 4.10s installed.

right now it seems to take off ok in 1st then shifts to 2nd and feels weak. i didnt think the 4.8 would be that much diff than 5.3 but in need it seems that way.

thanks guys.

Dammit, if I had a million to work with, I'd have a real nice DMax with all the toys to do truck stuff with and a Z06 vette for play. Twin turbos on both of them. Ahhhhh shoot. It's nice to dream.

Get a nelson tune 1st, this should be the first MOD on all trucks. Then get some Paceseter Long Tube Headers.

you might want to change that to either 1k or 1000 unless you really do have 1 million to work with and then in that case...

You may think the tune seems a little expensive, but in this case you get what you pay for. If you ever do any other mods to you truck that calls for a retune such as a cam etc. all you do is simply notify Nelson Performance and they will send you out a new PCM reflecting your new mod(s) at no charge! All you pay is shipping.

First thing, custom tune. Then do a homemade CAI, some LT headers, and exhaust...you could go for a replacement muffler to save yourself some bucks on a whole system.
