Default Best setup for a ECSB

I'm currently saving up for a built tranny and stall, but I am trying to figure out if a gear swap would be beneficial to me.

Would I be better off going with a 3200-3400 stall and keeping my 3.42s?
or should I go with a 3000 stall and 4.10s.

I also plan on putting a truetrac later when I can afford it, so I could do the gear swap then, if it will help.

Depends on the purpose for which your building, and tire diameter. A high stall converter will heat up a tranny big time, and with a torque motor like most LS's are is not always the best thing. I personally did not use anymore the 2400 stall in any of my hot rods to keep driveability higher, and I like to gear a vehicle as much as posible. With our overdrive, 30 tall tires, and a motor that likes reving 4.11's are always a better choice.

As I get more money for my truck becouse I have more pressing issues, drivetrain wise I will probily go to 4.11's atleast but probily 4.56's since my gas mileage difference between drive and overdrive is none existant.

My 3.23 gears in drive roughly equal 4.56 in over drive.

Since my truck is going to be my shop truck for my buisness I will not put a stall in it becouse of the weight I will be hauling, but if I keep on just doing side work I will probily go for a 2200rpm stall. Then I might have a burn out machine.
