Default Best replacement muffler?

Whats the best replacement muffler to bolt up in the stock location on a '06 ecsb z71. I wanted to get a dynomax bullet, but it doesn't look like a straight through type of muffler will work. Also, what all is different on the L33 other than the alm block?

I have a borla replacement in place of stock one and love it. Nice and mannered on idle and roars at WOT. Heard of good things from magnaflow as well.

Just take that muffler to your exhaust shop and they'll make it work for ya.

Will the magnaflow be able to "bolt in"? The stock exhaust goes in the center of the muffler and comes out the top left. I just wanted to replace the muffler myself and not have to have any pipes bent from an exhaust shop. If so where did you get the muffler from?

Default Hooker Aerochamber

Check out Hooker Aero Chamber p/n 21722. I just had this muffler welded on by my local muffler shop and it sounds great. It has a center inlet and an offset outlet just like the stock one. It was one of the few aftermarket mufflers I could find that closely matched the configuration of the stock one (spin tech being the other). It is 22" long, which is almost as long as the stock muffler. Mine is an '06 Z71 and it sounds great at WOT but is quiet at idle and cruise with NO DRONE. Took 30 minutes to intall it at the muffler shop.
