Default best intake for 5.3?

I just ordered a 5.3 and plan on going with a texas speed 224 cam 3k stall and prc heads and im swapping it in an obs ext cab 2wd (kinda my dream build..) but whats a good intake? I know the truck intake is good for low end torque but im looking for more top end haul *** power, any suggestions?

I've heard good things about the TBSS/nnbs intakes for top end on the 5.3s. I hear mixed results about retaining torque or losing torque

I think you are referrign to the pre TB intake... not the intake manifold.

There isnt a hell of a lot of difference between them all. I have seen things that say the 4" diameter of the AEM shows the smallest reduction in KPA... meaning its the least restrictive.

If you were referring to the intake manifold I would also go with the newer body style 87mm intake. It will give you the best under the curve gains for cheap.

I plan to use the pro flo xt on my 5.7. Heard really good results about it. I currently have a factory intake and only see about .90-.92 kpa wot. Hoping to change that soon
