the 212 218 highlift or lowlift is a great cam for someone wanting to go mild!!

Something in the 24x 24x, 6xx 6xx 109+2 range should be good.

if I were to get a 220 or 224 with no converter would it hurt or mess anything up? How would my mpg be with a cam? Thanks

.. Not gonna damage anything.. dude.. it just means that if you dont add a stall 2 ur performance CAM, ur truck is gonna feel real lazzy off the line.. and your truck is gonna start pulling 3k RPMS +...

get atleast a Tb stall, those run cheap, and have been proven to make a difference over stock stall...

the 212/218 cam it a great DD cam, with a lift - that meets ur needs/

if you go anything above 22X cam, u gonna need a 3K stall atleast to get it moving off the line...

but it all depends , how much ur looking to spend..+ were u want ur powerband at*

Dude my B1 cam (in my sig) has a Sick idle! And very daily drivable! My bro had it in his 5.3 before I had it and he was gettin like 20 mpg...

call chris at at circle d, he has a 278mm(11") 2800-3200 converter. same one i have and i love it. I can foot stall it to 2800. its not to expensive either.

Is this low lift or the big lift bigger than the Z06 cam looking for turbo cam in 5.3 sts system thanks

I have had my 224/224-.588/.588 in my truck for around 50,000 plus miles. Hasn't hurt anything but my fuel milage and low end torque. I average 14.5 in stop and go traffic and between 19 and 20 on the highway. But damn do I need a set a heads and a stall.
