any 224/224 on a 112lsa is about the max u can put on a stock converter
u will need headers, intake ,pushrods, upgraded ,valve, springs and someone to tune it.

212/218 with a 112lsa is a good DD cam with a "choppy" idle. and like dayrn c said you will need to upgrade your springs, pushrods and even lifters would be a good idea, as well as headers and an intake. Instead of a TB converter id spend a little extra $$ and get something with a 2800-3200 stall.

the only problem with going for something in the 220 or 224 range is that your going to need a converter to run them well...
vinci has a 210/218 551/551 on a 112.
it will make a choppy idle and make power from 1900 up...
remember that a tbtc will only flash to about 2500 behind a 5.3..

with HUNDREDS of cam threads how can you not find anything? They all say the same thing that this one is already saying.
My cam is a 216/220 114lsa and it has a noticeable idle. With the 3000 stall it feels good but still isn't quite in the sweet spot.
If you don't want to change converters you won't want a 220, Unless you don't mind losing low end. meaning it will feel slow until you hit about 3500rpm and it will all the sudden take off.
If you don't mind changing the converter then by all means get one but make sure you get about 3400 or so to make it feel right.
I'd Recommend Circle D for a converter because they are tighter than most and that helps your MPGs in city driving.
