Default Best cam to go with

well im looking for the best cam for my application i have a 5.3 in a single cab im planning on supercharge or forced induction in the near future with a custom preditor program what would be my best cam from i was looking at 2 from comp cams 1)212 218 or 2)216 220 what yall recommend and whatneeds to be changed in the head for the best cam change thaks guys

I'd say go with the 212/218.

I concur with 99silv. The extra overlap of the bigger duration would just waste boost and lower the cylinder pressure.

so should i stick with my stock cam sinc i plan on going forcedinduction or supercharged or will the 212 218 cam give me more and help out or which cam could you recomend to me and what do i need to ad to the valvetrain to support the cam you recommend or the ones ive listed

Get some LS6 or Comp 918 springs. The stock springs won't last long with the duration. And if you have the cash, spring for some new pushrods and retainers.

so go witht he ls6 springs and retainers or the 918 comp well that is using which cam though for my application

i have an 01 ls6 cam and springs package sitting around the house. it's a pretty good power adder cam, nitrous/boost.

well the i still have got the answer im looking for which cam is my best bet for the forced induction that will make the most power and yes i may be interested in your valve train but if it will work with the cam i need pm me a price k
