We have fit two of them under two different 96 Impala SS without any ground clearance problems and both were about 1" lower than stock.

are there any cutouts that close off the path to the muffler when the cutout is open? it seem to me that even though air will choose the path of less resistance, part of the air will go through the muffler even when the cutout is open. i'm looking for a cutout that will force the air to go out the cutout by closing off the muffler when the cutout is open.

I was thinking that the Street Pro closed the muffler path but after looking at it again, it dosent. Anyway, it is another cutout option for those looking.

There is a little bit that still goes through the muffler but the cutout is there to reduce backpressure so most of it goes out the cutout but a little still goes through the muffler but it doesnt matter teh restriciton of the muffler is what forces the exhaust gases out the cutout so if a little is going through the muffler still then thats ok it is still moving the exhaust gases the most efficiently therefore giving you more hp. The street pro is nice. Im going to see if I can dig up some more info on that cutout cause I think Im going to go ahead and ordered my cutout tonight.
