"are there any cutouts that close off the path to the muffler when the cutout is open? it seem to me that even though air will choose the path of less resistance, part of the air will go through the muffler even when the cutout is open. i'm looking for a cutout that will force the air to go out the cutout by closing off the muffler when the cutout is open."

go to:

www.badlanzhpe.com

They have a design which can close one system, and open the other.

The street pro is nice. Im going to see if I can dig up some more info on that cutout cause I think Im going to go ahead and ordered my cutout tonight.

I bought a DMH I going to buy another soon when i get the funds to put on my truck. After my research they seem to be the best bang for the buck very few complaints and when there is a problem much better customer service then Qtech.

Those are more expensive but I really like the clean and simple design. Much less space required... but then I guess there's enough space under there to not have to worry about it.

I gotta wonder, however, if the butterfly would consistently close completely. Anybody have any experience? Maybe had them a couple years or something.

Thanks, Jim

Cable operated ones are notorious for leaking.

Jim there really isnt a whole lot of room under there expecially if your truck is lower and trying to keep it up out of the way of curbs and stuff. They are nice but VERY expensive. Im ordering another DMH tomorrow so I can get my ecutout system going Ill take a pic or two and post it up here.
Here is what the DMH looks like off the truck
