You're one of the lucky ones then. I've never had a stock Delco battery last longer than 2-1/2 years. Motorcraft batteries, on the other hand, I've had last 8 years.

BTW, regarding recently selling the company, Optima batteries are manufactured by Johnson Controls and have been for quite a few years.

The stock Delco battery lasts 6 years. My first one lasted exactly 6. I'm on my second now (since 06)

Funny you say that, I put a radio in my truck last night, had the doors, lights on for a lil bit while adjusting settings and tryed to start it up and dead as a brick.. It is the orig, is almost 6 years old.. I will prob replace with another ac delco..

Ive had my stock battery in my truck up tell last winter, 8 years of cold hard canadian winter crankings. Ive heard alot of people having trouble with optimas, from what I hear not worth the money
