you are correct!

The LM4 was an aluminum block version of the LM7, and had a short production life. It should not be confused with the L33.

LM4 applications:

2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT
2004 GMC Envoy XL
2004 Chevrolet SSR

If you go with a truck motor don't forget you will need to switch to a car style intake manifold. There are a few write ups on that, but it will be much easier to do with the motor out of the car (of course)

Does anyone have one of these write ups, I cant find anything on the motor itself. All the mods will be done before it goes in the car for sure. I have been thinking about putting in something along the lines of a LS6 cam in it but nothing to big cuz I want to keep the mpg's up.

Don't forget also the truck accessories also stick out farther than the F-body accessories, and even farther yet from the Vette accessories. If front radiator clearance is an issue in a tight engine compartment, truck accessories are going to make the swap interesting. This I know because I have to deal with the same problem swapping in a truck V8 into my small Sonoma's engine bay.
