I have been told that upgrading the TB was pointless, that the stock one was just as good if not better. Now if i did buy one would i need to tune my PCM for the new TB?? Or would the stock tune in the PCM compensate for the bigger TB??

With these electric throttle bodies, you'll probably need a tune if the airflow is any different at low throttle angles. Ported TBs usually alter idle quality and airflow and require tuning to get the values back in line.
