Backfiring after cam install!!!!!please help!!!!

Update? I just thought of something. Does the custom gring have the firing order switch ground in? That would cause this also.

No. Everything was fine. I had a bent pushrod caused by a failed lifter. That messed up two valves also. Not good. And to top all that off a cross threaded crank.

Found a lq4 with about 25,000 miles on it. Gonna go look at it Sunday. Someone already bought this motor. Tired of messing around.

LS motors have the 4/7 swap stock. So someone would have to grind it to be swapped back which would make no sense.

Sorry to hear about the motor damage. I know how you feel. Had a GMPP lifter roller go bad and take out my cam bearings on the 383 I built.
