auto trac transfer case durability???
Ok I have an auto trac equipped truck (please no soccer mom jokes) and I know this transfer case is rated at significantly less torque capacity than the regular transfer case in our 1/2 tons. My question is would it really matter how much torque you put through it as long as you're in 2hi? Or will it not be any different then running in 4hi durability wise? Thanks

Welcome aboard Rob!
I think you should be our guinea pig. Get a 422ci, supercharge it, direct-port 300 shot NOS, 3200 stall, 9-inch rear and 4 ET street tires. Launch that sucker on the juice and see if it holds up.

Re: auto trac transfer case durability???
LOL. Only 3200 stall? Why not 4400? ...some 32" slicks and give that 422 a solid roller! Hey Neil remember that blue extended cab Silverado Z71 over at LS1.com running in the high 12's with a whipple and a 50 shot of N20...do you know if that truck was auto trac? I remember him saying he launched in 4wd. I ended up not going with that trans am I was talking about I didn't like the fact that the tires on it didn't match...something just seemed shady so I pulled out.
