Default ASP pulleys installed.

Well, got the ASP pulley installed last night. That was a SOB!!! That stock pulley is on there. Taking off the old one was the hardest part. Had to use a 3' breaker to turn the gear puller bolt. The install went much smoother. I did the alternator overdrive pulley as well. First impressions are that the low end picked a little and the mid range as well. The most noticable difference is the throttle response. It is much, much crisper and faster. Engine wants to rev out quicker. With the belts, underdrive crank pulley, overdrive alternator pulley and new crank bolt. I think it ended up costing $250. I would say the 12 rwhp claims are correct. Hell, I spent $250 on exhaust 3 different times. That gave me a lot better sound but much in the way of performance gains. So all in all I would reccomend it.

I was going to attempt my install last night, but it looked like a pain. I hate doing projects like this on my daily driver. Did you take off the lower radiator shroud?? I was under there and it looks like it will be in the way.

I took of the shroud and the fan blade was in my way. So I unbolted the four bolts that hold it to the clutch, so it had some play. The lower shroud takes a little moving around to pull out. So I just left it off. I am going to be installing electric fans this week also. Seems to still cool fine. No problems. And I used an impact to drive the new pulley back on. Worked like a charm. Probably not the best way, but...it worked. I put Gatorback belts on. Those things squeeled for a good 10 minutes. I thought I done something worng. But they quit. Any questions ask away.

Sweet more power is always a good thing. Did you install you e-fans yet or get TOG headers?

I finally wired up a manual switch for mine...I initially had them wired up to run at full power when the AC compressor is on, well that turned out to eat tons of amperage from my alternator, creating more drag, and hurting my gas milage. So I have the fans still on the thermostat control and a manual on switch so I can kick the fans on when I am going under ~30MPH to get the cooling of the AC system running. This is how it will be until I order that VSC from Flex-A-Lite, would have ordered that but the $500 setback for my truck being repaired last week was no good.

The Fans with the pulley together should make throttle response much better. Definitely a good mod!
