Default Anything negative about going to a 4.100" stroke crank?

I just got off the phone with the speed shop that ordered my parts from and they said that eagle had a misprint in their price sheet so the kit they were going to get for me was going to end up being like a 9.5:1 CR and that is too low. So they started refiguring out how to come up with a wirkable combo for me and they were telling me that they could get me a 4.1" crank and that woudl put me at 418ci or something like that and they could get me a nice 10.7:1 or so CR. Is there any extra problems associated with going to this length. Will the block have to be clearanced?

As far as I know the normal 4" stroke 408 crank doesnt need to be clearance but I didnt really check cause I planned on dropping off the rotating assembly to the machine shop and letting them figure it out. Just wonderin if there are going to be any other problems that I havent come across or thought about yet.

I want really strong NA performance. Im not too worried about performance on spray. Im trying to build a motor that I want have to use the spray every time I race someone.

The motor will have 80 or so more hp on motor than my old motor on a 100 shot and with the 3000 stall and the spray it was good enough to hold off t/a's and z28s till about 70-80 depending on the driver. I think Ill be fine on motor for most races cars have tractions problems on the street I dont.

I think I read some where you can't use anything larger than a 4.00 stroke crank in a LSx type motor without a clearance problem, I might be wrong though.

nitrous responds better to higher compression than that, I think you can get away with spaying and around 10.5:1 on 93 with good tuning. if your gonna spay a big shot Id run 100+ octane.

Me personnaly Id tell em to get me the right kit for the job.
Ive been looking at the lunati ea 035-408 or the ea 035-spec they can make you special pistons with the ring lands moved down for nitrous apps or to set the desired compression.
with the 035-408 it comes out to 10.6:1 with a 67cc head, .4x gasket and a compression height of 1.123, -13cc dish Ive been looking at that kit for my build.
Holley was helpful when I called them about my plans talked to a guy named steve.
