I'll be watching this thread.

I'd like to know also. I did a search on it a day or two ago and dug up some info, but much of it was conflicting so I was left still wandering.

Torque Converter from a Trailblazer. Somewhat higher stall than ones in the truck. Not certian but believe I have read its a 2300 stall.

Don't know how posting to links to other forums goes but they are discussing it here http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/in...showtopic=8199

I'm researching a stall. Either the TB TC or a PI Vigilante it where I will be.

Its been used and is in use by several people on this board with great results! Cheap verter too and it stalls to 2600 behind a 5.3. Black02Z71 is using one with his 6.0 and hes happy with it.

i'm all about it then. I'm looking for a good cheap converter, and i can use the money i would have spent on a yank on getting a cam and tune.

How much can you find them for though? A TCI 3000 is only $450, so it has to be much cheaper than that.

i am using one in my SS and it stalls in the mid 2k range. i think it was less than 200 with a core. i broke my inputshaft drum this past summer and the tc held up. a few of us figured i am putting out around 600hp at the fly wheel with n2o and around 450 n/a and it still holds up today

so when you say a core, you can send them your old TC. I would like to put one of these in the vho for a cheap mod to get her going. where do you get them?
