Excellent. How much did those companies drop their price? Its about time, they have been bending over the LS1 community for a while now (at least when comparing to LT1 prices).

The drop was only $300 something. Look for that to happen more as they continue to loose business to Eagle.

Eagle makes very very good stuff, even their honda rods will support over 450hp with ease.

The Eagle stuff is very good. But, if you look at the h-beam rods they make and compare them to billet rods, I think Eagle rods are rated for 650hp. A little more money for billets, but they are rated at like 900hp. And the design is more aerodynamic and slightly lighter.

The Callies crank is 5lbs lighter than any crank out there right now.

Callies cranks might be lighter but they are having problems with the reluctor ring.

I understand the concept of too much not being enough...

In the future when I have a money is no object budget, I'd like to run a BB w/ a 1.75:1 rod/stroke ratio, put some boost to it and rev the **** out of it.

I should be receiving my 408 Callies rotating assembly Monday. I went with Callies forged rods. I liked the idea of them being centered. Diamond flat top pistons will round out the package. I'm shooting for a 12 to 1 motor and TEA will be doing the heads. Going with a Comp cam and if I don't change my mind it will be 228/230 584/588 115LSA/115 on a XE-R profile. I have modeled it on DeskTop Dyno and it shows over 450ft/lbs. of torque by 2000 rpms and peaks over 550 with over 550hp past 6000 rpm's. Should move the ole heavy truck pretty good!

I'm glad to see someone else running a radical cam.I'll be exceeding .600 lift with the 1.75 Comp Pro Magnum rockerarms. Are you planning to use Comp R lifters?

What's your theory on the Comp R lifters? Do you think they are better than the Chevy's and are needed @ my cam specs with the stock rocker ratio. I have heard they are noisey and sure would hate to pick up any false knock.
