I am running a Comp 220/220 cam in a 4.8 with the stock TC and I don't have a problem with my brakes.... Does your rpm dip below normal idle RPM as your coming to a stop, if so you need to work on your base timing and/or desired airflow table and/or Throttle cracker in gear table...

thanks for the reply's. the problem is worse when the engine is cold or if its in 4lo and i'm just creepin along. i have a 3000 stall converter waiting on a few extra $'s to be installed, so maybe i'll just wait and see how that works out before i get anything else to fix this.

The two tables I mentioned in your tune would probably take care of the problem. The desired airflow table is based off of engine temperature... Different engine temperatures require different amounts of airflow at idle... The throttle cracker in gear adds to the desired airflow table when foot is off the accelrator and your above the idle threshold... IMO have your tuner look into both tables.

now that i think of it that sounds a little like what i see when driving. i'll have my tuner look at it when hes installing the converter. i really need to buy efi live and stop relying on someone else to tune MY truck.

One of the best decisions you can make, especially since you have a good base line to start with.
