Default Anyone running over-the-axle exhaust with 8" drop?

Post pics of your setup.

I bought a corsa tip and today i went to have it put on but the guy said there wasnt enough room. I have probably around 4-5" between the bed and axle so i think it would be enough to run a single 3" pipe. My axle only travels about half an inch before it bottoms out in the notch.

The guy said that ther has to be 2" between the exhaust and bed and another 2" between the axle and exhaust.

So what do you guys think? Is it possible to run it over the axle with a 8" rear drop?

Good to hear. I really need to get my exhaust run over the axle instead of dumped before. How hot does the bed floor get?

As long as you are not running a standard McGaughys, Belltech, or DJM and not a super c-notch or stepped notch you'll be fine. There's about 3 to 4 inches between the bump stop and the bed crossmembers so I don't think it should be too hard to fit a 3" pipe in there.

I just need to get under my truck and measure. That's not that easy, but I'll do it this weekend and post back. I'd like to keep atleast .5" clearance between axle and bed.

Don't know, haven't checked. I removed the heat shield and don't think it gets hot. Bed has linex and hasn't shown any signs of it getting too hot.
Not the best but here's a couple of pics I found of it... yes I know it was dirty..lol

I have a 6" drop and had 3" running over the axle. the exhaust was about 1/2" from the bed and the axle touched the exhaust just as it would hit the bumstops on the c-notch

ls1truck what notch?

Cuerva, that's a nice setup. Tip is in the perfect location. Nice and stealth. Same way I want to do it only with 2 - 2.5" pipes if I can fit them.

Rears are 305/35/20's Nitto 555R's (Drag Radials) and yes, had to roll the fenders for them to tuck.

Yeah, can't be this low on a standard c-notch. I had to modify mine....
