Just finished my 6.0/4l80 swap and I overlooked needing to redo the exhaust. Id like to get some new ran here soon, but funds are pretty short. Anyone modify theirs? This is also a rcsb with a 5/7 drop so clearance is an issue. Am I going to have to bit the bullet and get new ran?

The LTs will fit, but I believe you will need to modify the ypipe.

Update: I got everything to fit with a bfh. I really don't like how I had to do it, but it will get me by for a while. Where the drivers side piping crosses over to the y I basically flattened it. It runs under the tranny pan. I also header wrapped it to keep as much heat off the trans as possible.

I would, but I'm not too proud of my work lol. Basically, the 80 transmission pan is farther back towards the rear end after the swap. With the 60 the crossover for the drivers side exhaust went behind the pan, and on the 80 it fits under the pan. I just bashed where it goes under the pan flat. You'll see what I mean when you get in there, but it's not too pretty to get it all to fit.

 

lol, well atleast i got the heads up appreciate it. wonder if theres a y-pipe that would work good with the swap.

 

If you come across anything, let me know. I'm going to be redoing mine here shortly. I just don't like how it fits.

 

The ARH Y-pipe fits GREAT with the 60 or 80E.
