Default Anyone heard/have a Borla?

Anybody heard what a Borla muffler sounds like on a 5.3 Truck? If I was to do it I would just buy a Borla and dump it. I dont think I've ever heard one. ......anybody?

I've got a Borla XR-1 and love it. Not too loud at idle and sounds mean at WOT.

I heard the borla catbacks are very quite. while the borla xr1 muffler is just like a race muffler.

Ive got an 12" XR1. No complaints here.

ALTHOUGH.... I had the catback with the 4 foot long thing they call a muffler. Had to ditch that crap. Was way too quiet. If you want Borla, snag an XR1 and have your exhaust built around it.

There's your answer. Mine sounds great at WOT. A guy I work with has a SS truck with a Magnaflow cat back and says mine sounds better. I still have the factory manifolds and cats also.

Might as well. Hell its too bad they dont make the cat-backs with an XR1 in the first place. Least if you get the XR1 you pretty much have the freedom to get you exhaust done how you want it.

I've got a Borla cat-back on my 01 Tahoe with 5.3L. The muffler is onle about 2 feet long. It sounds loud and...well...like that Borla trademark sound at WOT but it can be quiet if you are easy on the throttle. My wife thinks it is too loud...big surprise there! I've had it for 4 years and it is holding up nicely. Installation was a breeze.
