i started daily driven my truck and it seems that the trucks heats up pretty quick in stop and go traffic, temp will climb up pretty quick to 220-230.... i thought i had an air pocket so i did my best to get rid of it and i also bought a new radiator cap just for the hell of it, well that did nothing, today i was pissed off at the **** and i swapped the stock clutch fan in and what do you know temp never goes over 195F?? WTF??? do yall think the LS1 fans dont push enough air compared to the stock fan? i know plenty of people running them with no issues but im just wondering why in the hell im having trouble with it....

I have a 160 thermostat, and my efan harness is not temp control, its just a switch for hi or low speed, i always have them on hi unless im on the highway, and yes both fans were on and on hi speed everytime i checked them, i would just stop and open the hood with the truck running and temp would start dropping fairly quick,? im confused?

Might need to take the hose and spray it through your radiator to clean out all the dirt and bugs lodged in it, and make sure your fans are pressed up against the radiator fully.

Good call...you could always unbolt the radiator at the top and tilt it towards the engine to look and see if there is excessive leaves/bugs/debris between the radiator and condensor...
