Default Anyone Had Drive A By Wire Failure?

Just polling here.
Has anyone experianced or know of a drive by wire throttle body failure?
Any details on how, when, or what happens when one does go?

My cruise control went out in my 03 K1500 Sierra after I flogged it out at the Oceano dunes. It ended up being a bad tach in the drive by wire module according to the dealer.

I've had the reduced power mode happen, but it wasn't because of any electric throttle failure, it was because I didn't have the throttle body firmly plugged in.
