Default Anyone got Bassani or B&B headers?

Not much else to this post, besides the subject.

Anyone running those new Bassani "optimum length" headers? Think they'll have any problems with that O2 sensor low-heat code with the extra tubing? Are they full sized headers, or shorties? Can't quite tell from the pics.

How about those B&B shorties? The few pictures I've seen, look like equal length shorties. I'm not sure if they're for our aplications though. Might be the C5's headers I hear a lot about.

Bassani makes good **** in the Mustang market. If you are concerned w/ low O2 heat...just get them coated. Can ya post up some pics of them?

B&B makes GREAT stuff too. Pricy, but very nice. Back when I wanted (and still do) a 300ZX twinturbo I was going to get a 3" B&B catback. If that tells you anything...

Either way you choose you should get a good product...still my fav headers are The Other Guys. Best build construction I have seen.

Bassani's:

I have thought about running these headers. They look really cool, and they're $715 ceramic coated from an internet truck performance place that isn't a sponsor here. Dunno if I can post it or not.

Do any of our sponsors carry Bassani?

Those Bassani's look like mid-length headers. I wonder how hard of an install they would be?

I was wondering about the new Hooker headers that are suppose to come out for our trucks. Does anybody have any info on those? Are they shorties or full length?

Here is some info for each brand -

Bassani -

OPTIMUM-LENGTH Headers - Features and Benefits

Unsurpassed quality and fit, superior materials and expert craftsmanship.
Mandrel bent 14 GA. carbon steel primary tubes for durability.
Exclusive "Extractor Collector" induces a scavenging effect and further improves performance.

S.S. Comp™ Stainless Header Gaskets cures header leaks for good.
Gasketless ball and socket connectors.

Standard finish is industrial chrome. High temperature ceramic coating is optional.
With over three decades of design experience and maximum performance, Bassani has learned what works and what doesn't. We have the ability to develop product designs to optimize performance and the technical expertise to implement these designs. When it comes to header design, experience does make a difference.

We currently offer a line of emissions legal headers for a wide-range of cars, trucks and SUV's. Bassani's "Optimum Length" headers feature mandrel bent 14 gauge mild steel primary tubes, our exclusive "Extractor Collector" and gasketless ball and socket connectors. We build every "Optimum Length" header the best way we know how . . . in-house. We do all our own tube fabricating, bending, welding, etc . . . when it says Bassani . . . it means Bassani BUILT ! Every header application comes complete with premium gaskets, nuts, bolts, hardware and detailed instructions. Most applications are available in industrial chrome or high-temperature ceramic coating.

B&B TriFlo -

As the Truck/SUV market continues to grow, B&B Performance Exhaust is keeping up with the market with the introduction of their new shorty header line. Using the same technology used to manufacture the C5 headers, B&B continues to deliver products that fit and perform to an unsurpassed level of standards. Each shorty header is manufactured entirely of T-304 stainless steel, mandrel bent tubing with thick stainless steel flanges.

The Bassani prices range from $619. - $719. while the B&Bs are $799. I haven't used any of these on a truck (mostly AS+M and TOGs) but have put a few sets of the B&B headers on C5s. Very good fitment for these.

I'd go Bassani as they are longer meaning more bottom end power.

Thanks guys. If things go as planned, I'll be looking for a set late summer...

Right now I'm considering the Bassani's, coated TOG's, or Supermax (header only).

I'm still way up in the air about headers.

I think I'm going stainless. I pretty much need to here in the snow-belt... and I'm actually leaning towards B&B shorties right now.

Anyway.

I dug up some info from Bassani. 1.5" primaries, 2.5" collectors. I have a word doc here for the 601500 (5.3-6.0 headers) that is too large to attach.

They're not the ones we see pictured - they look a lot like ASM's to me.

I'll forward the email if anyone wants.
