I am actually impressed with my 99 Tahoe's handling capabilities... But I am thinking new endlinks and d rings up front might make a big difference. Thoughts?

Yeah, My 94 amgio has solid bars welded together and is top heavy. It handles like no other though. I say skip the suspension mod and get a light bar for project "Super Trooper" I know where you can find one too. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I've got Hals in the front, a 2" lowering shackle and a Hotchkis swaybar in the rear now <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> Pure corner hugger.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="gr_emb.gif" />

Don't know how serious this post is...but.
My 00 Tahoe limited has the police suspension from the factory (old body style).
Lowered Springs
Bilstein Shocks
BIG Sway Bars
Not bad for a big grocery getter, and it towed my MGB GT 1000 miles at 80-85 mph without breaking a sweat.

I have the Hotchkis 2/4 sport springs on my silverado and it handles like a dream now. I probally going to get the Hotchkis rear bar and get some new poly endlinks/drings for the stock front bar. I have heard that the stock front bar is more than adaquate. Don't he Tahoes already have a rear bar? If so just changing out the bushings would help dramaticly.

I am asking a serious question...
Truck will turn good, but feels like it turns in too agressively but I have yet to kick it out...
I will look under it tonite.
Coser, are you saying that I have those parts on my truck too?
How can I lower the back of the truck two inches?
Are the truck rear springs different from an F-body?

thye only thing that sucks is that you have to but the swaybars in a pair. cant just buy front or back separate. i am going to buy the hellwig rear sway bar. i have some poly endlinks up front and they helped. i just ordered some sway bar bushings too. should help also. the front sway bar is 1.42in big. so it is diffently adequate.

I didn't mean to spin the thread in the sarcastic direction but even with mods these heavy weights are far from corner-carvers. I now have a perminant lean on my Silverado (about 3/4" on the driver's side) along with poor spring rate due to some spirited driving.
I have tossed the truck, in stock form, from lock to lock at various speeds. The truck allows you to get the back loose with little effort and with the converter, stock tires and a G80 locker...its that much easier. The fact that the locker disengages too, helps bring the vehicle back in line but doesn't allow for exteneded drifts... long sweeping left turns at 45 mph quickly turn in to sloppy tire squeeling tail slides once the locker disengages.
Since the addition of the Hals in the front and the Hotchkis rear bar, I have definately noticed a better more progressive but controllable oversteer and better weight transfer under braking. By setting the Hals at a higher rate you don't get the drastic dive and weight transfer typical of empty bed trucks, and makes corner entry much more controlled and allows the throttle to control your exit drift and not physics which would tend to in this situation spin you around.
The truck's suspension is very tunable and ther seems to be quite a bit of after market support but I still miss the "auto-x days" with the cavalier Z24. Low center of gravity, easily tuned camber, coilovers, sticky tires and 17"s meant a passenger could be looking out his ear if he wasn't ready for the corner
