Anyone built their own headers?

that's a pretty damn big collector... you might not be able to fit them in from the top. The only big issue with building headers for trucks is the steering shaft. Passenger side isn't that big a deal unless you start rubbing the frame. I've built headers before, but not for trucks. On my new truck I just bought some that had a warranty against defect since I don't want to potentially void my factory warranty.
after I posted i saw that you said you were gonna tig them lol... what kind of wall thickness does the tubing have that you bought? Looks like it's 16 ga. or something. use ER80-S6 wire when tig welding the primaries, it's easier to control the puddle plus it's "stronger" (if you can find wire with added silicon, get them, it produces a clean *** weld). anyways, looks like a sweet project, I'm waiting for my warranty to go bye bye so I can make my turbo headers

Thanks for the advise! The tubing is 16ga, I will definetly check out that wire because I am running low on mild steel wire right now. I will try to slip the collectors on my headers like Flowmaster reccomends, they came with weld-on tabs to secure them. They reccomend using high temp RTV on the joint, do you think that will seal (or at least come pretty close)? Sometimes a warranty can be a PITA, if nothing goes wrong with the truck then all it does is delay the modifications
