Default Anyone with an 02 v8 truck

I need a favor. I have a broken ground wire on my truck, and I can't find where it went to. If you open your hood and look down between the front of the engine and the shroud you should see a ground wire bolted to the center of the frame crossmember. Mine has broken off on the other end and is just dangling from the frame. I need to know where it goes. I looked at a 99 and it doesn't even have the wire bolted to the frame, so I need someone with an 02 (dunno if other years have it) to look and see where it goes.

If I remember correctly it connects to the front driver side of the oil pan, or some where in that area... Worst case is leave it off, there are more then enough grounds on your engine

I was thinking that was probably where it went, but I didn't know. I wouldn't worry about it, but i'm chasing down an idle surge problem and I want to eliminate any possible problems. I'm pretty sure it's an intake leak...

I know the wire you are talking about, but I forget where it goes. Somewhere on the lower block or oil pan.
