Default New exhaust setup...Help! Suggestions!

alright currently my setup is cats into a y into a spintech turned down right before the axle.

im wanting to remove the cats but im worried it will be too loud....

should i keep them and add a cut out? if so, where can i put it?

if i lose the cats how much louder is this thing going to be? maybe put a quieter muffler on at the same time?

thanks in advance.

I don't know about that muffler, but currently I have mid-length headers, no cats, y-pipe into a single dynomax super turbo (or something) muffler dumped before the axle and it's super quiet.

It shouldn't be loud. Ditch the cats.

cats/no cats is the major determinant of volume

No drone. None. Now, with a pair of "blowmasters" and an x pipe, the drone was HORRIBLE. It's all in the muffler.

I used to have pacesetter lt's, their ory, summit 3" glasspack and a 14" mangnaflow dumped before the axle, and it got annoying after a few months. Loud and droned a lot. I just added the 4" magnaflow tailpipe p/n 15463, and its much better.

I've got longtubes, full 3" exhaust with no cats through a cutout under the cab and it still isnt loud enough for me. And thats with a loose 4k stall haha.

But I've got a magnaflow 18" oval case with turndowns when the cutout is close and i like the way it sounds alot
