I need to find out whats all involved in this project...I'm trying to get the weiand alluminum intake manifold for the truck!!! Aside from having to shave down the waterpump neck and moding the tensioner pulley but what else is there and who can i get parts from to complete this project?? Thanks fellas

Ideally find a Vette/Camaro pulley drive and water pump, should do the trick.
BTW, I read a comparison on the manifolds that included the Weiand unit. There were no significant improvements over the truck model and actually had some big losses in low end. Your 383 and STS should like it tho...

You will also need to relocate the idler pulley, a new bracket is available from Speartech. New serp belt as well. The alternator bracket has to be cut to clear the TPS and connector. I have some pictures in a 1/24/2005 post ( ls6 intake swap ) in this forum.

How are you getting the 383 cubes? Are you using a stroked 350?

in all honestly i would not go with a weiland intake. we have one on a friends car and it is a nice piece no doubt but a real pain to get to seal. also think about the heat soak with it being aluminum and especialy the turbo. that is just my thoughts i would personaly go with one of the composit intakes. but i can not say much about the aluminum issue because i would like to have a sheetmettal intake one day.
