Default Any SS's With a 454" or 500" Stroker Ls?

I'm going to do an engine sometime in the near future and I'm contemplating building a large stroker engine.

Anyone build a LARGE stroker (454, 500, etc) with excellent heads in one of these SS trucks?

454 is about the biggest you can go on the LSX block...

I think you need an aftermarket "tall deck" block, along with special heads & intake to get those cubes.

I might be mistaken.

I really like the concept of these blocks. The strength of the liners as well as the liner length (reducing potential oil consumption issues).

Ck out the article below (1st link) and the 2nd link that shows ERL's 482" & 500" shortblocks. Big money but I bet they would make some big power and torque!!! Now maybe add a TVS 2300 with about 10psi of boost and that would be a bad a$$ street truck

For the amount of money it would cost, I'd rather just buy a brand new truck.

You can get the LSX TD out to 488ci IIRC.
Also Chase has a 454ci twin turbo motor in his AWD SS and there's quite a few other guys running around with 4xxci motors with TVS 2300 on them. I also think there's a guy with a 427LSX single turbo in an SS.

454 ERL isn't too expensive, because they start with a factory block. Anything over that starts to get pretty expensive quick, with taller deck aftermarket blocks and such. I like the ERL 454s you should do that

I'm really liking the thought of a daily driver stroker using ERL Performance. The sleeves are longer at the bottom which should really help with oil consumption.

Anybody with a Silverado SS with a TVS 2300 running 10's or low 11's on blower only? The best I've heard was 11.60's in an Ext cab truck with a TVS 1900.
