Any reason not to buy the Radix supercharger for my 5.3?

Well first off you can get a procharger for less than 4Gs ... just as much boost (not to mention many more options when upgrading) and you have another grand to spend on tuning equip.....and even a bigger intercooler

over 5 Grand

I really want one, but yea, the price is really the only thing that is keeping me from getting one.

Don't forget about your trans taking a dump in short order...other wise they are nice.
I am beginning to look at the ATI again. Less boost down low = better for driveline...nothing a 3000-3200rpms stall would not cure. Imagine launching at 7psi and boosting to 11 or so at shifts. Mad efficiency at higher RPMs, larger headunits, larger intercooler, but no stealth. Oh well.
I love S/C whine

It depends on what your looking for. The Radix gives you the best of both worlds - good power just off idle which is something you can feel during your daily driving and good peak horsepower (anywhere from 130-150hp increase). The ATI kit is also a good choice but it just doesn't give you the same boost in the lower RPMs.

I say blown chevy lets us try on out for about a year before we have to pay for it
. I would love one but i cant even afford a used one right now.

Yes the ATI, and superchargers like it will give you more top end power, but in the real world who drives @ 4000 rpm all day. The Radix is at full boost at 1800 rpm, that is more fun than you can imagine.
Seat of the pants, for daily drivin fun....RADIX all the way.
