So.....I'm still running the stock GM air intake setup....I think it may be time to switch it out for something that will flow better. But have there been any problems with water saturation of the filter and whatnot being exposed?
I think I want to try this ebay kit since I refuse to pay an absurd amount for a tube and filter.

My K&N FIPK never got wet, and my Volant wi/ ram air stays dry also (I've popped the lid on rainy days and checked it). I'm also running a dry filter (Amsoil), was never a big fan of the oiled filter even though it's what I used to run.

that ebay intake is the same one i got and i was thinking about putting the stock back on and cutting a hole in the bottom. the intake doesnt fit right and it has separated twice by the filter and by the maf.

that's the first bad thing I've heard of this intake. IIRC there are several people here that run it. hmmm. I'd really like to tap the power that can be had by changing out the stock air intake setup, but if that means Im going to have issues then I'll just stick with what GM rolled it out the factory with.
