Default Any HPP3 Attributable Automatic Transmission Failures???

Does anyone know of any automatic transmission failures attributable to Powerloader or Hypertech III programing? I personally have never heard of any, but I always hear how careful one is supposed to be with the firmness settings of the HPP III and I know the Powerloader also has very firm settings and eliminates torque management besides. There are thousands and thousands of these programmers out there, for vehicles of all makes and models, and I would think if the settings were able to increase transmission line pressures to a detrimental level, we would be hearing about catastrophic transmission failures fairly regularly, and these guys would be out of business. If anyone has any actual info (NOT I have a friend, who has a brother who knew this guy who heard of a guy who had a failure, etc., etc.) it would be great to hear it. Thanks!

The first few times I pushed my Sierra at WOT after the HPP3 programming, I thought my trans would end up on Gratiot Avenue <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">

I set mine per recommendations of some folks at fsc.com and have not had any problems with it in 2 months.

I have had a HPP3 for 2 years with shift firmness on. I had my truck in for service last week. I complained about my rear end or U joints being "loose". When I picked my truck up, they had overhauled the transmission saying it was slipping a little in second gear. They didn't do anything to my rear end.

I can't contribute that directly to the HPP3, but with shift firness on at low speeds, it does slam in the gear pretty hard.

Same here, we just loaded the HPP3 on our 2003 Yukon 5.3 and I set the tranny firmness ON, rev limiter to 5300, no changes to stock shift points, and it seems to 'pause' between the 1-2 shift.

Any ideas?

I think the TM is more noticeable whenever you make more power. My truck ran 5 tenths quicker at the track (15.4 to 14.9) with the HPPIII, but the torque management was more noticeable in my opinion.
