I've used foil, 3 different kind of clamps, having absolute hell getting mine to seal at the slip fit.

slip fits are trash.

By the time you fix all the problems with chinese headers you'll wish you paid for the good stuff up front. Although if you can (or have someone else) weld on v bands or some sort of connector then you'll still come out ahead $$.

Im v banding mine.... Vband at collector-cat joints, welding cat to extension pipes leaving passenger side factory ball and socket and adding vband at the slipfit of the driver side pipe

My slip fit at the back of my driver side pipe has a band clamp on it now but i had a regular exhaust clamp on it for like a day until i gave up on it but apparently it crushed the shitty slip fit on this bs gibson kit ive got just enough to not let the cat pipe pull out so thats gonna be fun to pull back out!!!

Was debating n ball and sockets or vbands, simply because the ball and socket technically seals better, but vband takes less space... Other idea ive been toying with is going back to a ypipe setup and using an old ypipe as the back side of an xpipe of sorts... Going into my ss dual style cat back
