not quite sure what differential i have on my truck, i believe it is:

8.5" ten bolt rear end and 30 spline axle

is this what is found on a typical 99-02 Z71?

that was a rear differential for a 1/2 ton

 

You got it right 8.5 in ring gear and 30 spline axles

Make sure you get the right carrier bearings. The 99+ has different carrier bearings than the 98-. I found out the hard way <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" />
