Default another freekin cam thread, sorry

alright, i bought a cam on here, but i am thinkin i went too small.
lots of things have impeded me from putting it in, as i have had it for about three weeks now. i picked up an 01 z06 cam <207/217 .525/.525>

i now am positive from lots more reading that i want to go bigger. i am thinking, from everyone else's setups, that i would be happier with a 212/218 ~.550ish on a 114........ i want a little choppy idle, and a power gain that is worthy enough of going through the trouble of changing it out.

will the 114 lope any, or do you fellers think i should step it down to a 112?
this is my daily driver, my stall spins to 2600 rpm on the footbrake now...
i am looking to get into the 13's with this truck, and retain a little gas mileage.... LT headers and better gears will come after tax returns, but i was just lookin for helpful info on this cam choice for now.

thanks

the 212/218 isn't big big by any means, but...still a great cam. i'm right at 300rwhp, 20+mpg and you've heard the sound clips of it...its definitely a good LITTLE cam

mine is the low lift 114lsa. we didn't have any trouble tuning it. the tune isn't actually that much different from my other cam. search dirt track racer 81 and look at his photobucket. there isa blue truck on there that is a 4.8 with the same cam

the 212/218 will amke GREAT power, its right up there with alot of the alrger cams. Mine makes very little noise..its noticeable beside a stock cma truck, thats about it.

My truck made over 300whp and over 330rwTQ with this cam...
