Default Another exhaust question

Bought a truck from a member months ago. RCSB with a LQ4 swap. Has longtubes that go into cats and then into hooker aero chambers. The problem is there is no x or h pipe. Can I run a dual in single out magnaflow to balance it out? Has anyone done this? Input please

If you are running a 2 into 1 setup you do not need a x or h pipe..two different styles of exhaust...The Y pipe already does the "balancing" I personally think properly sized 2 into 1 setups are better than true duals...It keeps the whole scavenging affect going..4-1 / 4-1 to 2-1 ...So all 8 primaries end up pulling each other into one large pipe..To me a single will build more torque and still support high hp...of course all imho

-congrats on the new truck..sounds like a cool setup...post some pics

EDIT: re-read your post...Yes you should either convert to a true dual setup (x pipe)or 2-1 setup (y pipe)....Stat away from H pipe...there are better choices, And imo a 2 in 1 out muffler disrupts the flow, use a Y instead..

Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for. Right now it's true dualed but pipes are unequal lengths with no adjoining. Has to be losing some power.

I've got 4.10s and tru trac in garage and after turnaround have a 224 and TC installed.
