another converter question

i don't have the experience to help you there but i do know you will loose a good part of your towing ability. the yank 2800 and 3000 are good for 8000lb's, the 3200 is all the way down to 4000lb's and that conveter you are looking may be even less.

I have a 3600 in my truck right now.I wouldn't suggest going to the bigger stall unless you have some major engine modifications. For most trucks 3500 is way to far up into the powerband.Unless you are going to turn some high rpms,I would'nt go much higher than a 3000.Your drivability will go out the window, and you wont be able to tow much.Your trany will over heat with to much strain on that big of a stall.

i dont plan on towing, and as far as daily driving i only use my truck on the weekends. i do have a small auxillary trans cooler, should i upgrade to a larger one? my main reason for wanting to switch is i want more performance, is a 3500 still a little too much? mr mix: do you like what your converter did for your truck, if you were to do it again would you do it differently?

Yes I like it,but again my motor is built.I have a higher powerband with this motor to where I need the bigger stall.(BIG CAM)If My motor was a 5.3 I would have gone with a 3200.Again you need to find out where your cam is making power so you can take full advantage of it.It wont do you any good if your cam makes power at 1500-5500 and your stall starts at 3500.

i have alot of bolt ons, and sometimes run a 100 shot of nitrous. other than that the enginge has stock internals. so a 3500 is too much for this combo? i have been thinking of a cam swap in the future. if i were to cam it, would i benifit more from the 3500?
