With a stall you will lose et but without it it will be the same or higher due to loss of low end atleast my experience and a couple of others. IMO if you have a stall cut the cats out if not then do it for the sound not the performance.

 

Maybe I'll wait till I get the stall to do the cats.

 

If you have a Flowmaster, its going to be loud enough to give you a headache. I have a Magnaflow 12468 and it sounds freakin mean but doesn't drone into the cab. Also big echo tips tend to add to the problem. What's funny is when I first put the Magnaflow and OR pipe on about a year ago it was so quiet I was very disappointed but as the muffler broke in it got louder and louder over the next couple months, now it's perfect.

 

Thats another thing people dont realize is that the mufflers have to break in and they will get louder after a while. My racing bullets werent that loud to begin with but after about two months of driving they sounded mean *** hell.
