ANOTHER Cam Question
#1
I know you guys are tired of hearing about cams but I swear this is my last question on them......for at least the next month or two
I am thinking of purchasing a 212/218 .522/.529 114 for my 4.8L. I have heard that it reduces/retains the bottom end, but gives you alot of top end in the 4.8L. I was wondering how it would run with the mods I have in sig and with the addition of a Trans-Go, Nelson Tune ,ASP pulley, my goal is to get in the mid 14's with that and later on in the 13's with the addition of a TT3000 and LT's and eaton w/3.90's. I know this topic has been discussed alot, but I just want to make sure I know what I am getting myself into. Thanks in Advance

I have that same cam you are planning on getting and I don't feel I lost any low end. I'd say go for it. Scream put this cam in his 4.8 and gained about 30 rwhp with stock tuning. I'd think I would be awesome with those mods you plan getting.

Thanks man, thats what I was hoping for, I didnt know though with the 114 LSA and the smaller displacement if the low end would be sacrificed too much for top end. I would like to try this cam, if I could find a used one in good shape I would jump on it.
