Default American Racing Headers installed w/pics!!!

After much research, I bought AR Headers w/cats. I must agree with many before me, they fit perfectly, with plenty of clearance around all locations. I am running the stock muffler with the resonator in the tailpipe, 3 1/2" all the way back and it has quite a bark in the exhaust when you step on it. At highway speeds and normal driving, you can barely tell it has headers. One note, AllShowandNoGo (I believe that is correct) said some time ago that he had to relocate his positive cable to the starter. I had to do the same. There was plenty of cable, and I just moved it forward along the motor mount and tied it up to the negative cable. After seeing others with OE wires that contacted the header pipes, I ordered a set of MSD wires from a sponsor with the bendable ends. They were a bit long, but fit very well and have plenty of clearance from the headers. Overall, a very easy install, except for the rear nut on the drivers side. It was a bit tight.

Here are some pics with the headers installed. I was a bit concerned about all the broken OE manifold bolts recently, so I used the GM studs others have been using. Now I just need to get it tuned and it will be all set.

Im going with the ARH 1 7/8 and 3" catlesss Y when they come out with it. I'm hoping it gives a nice gain (from size and better design) than my 1 3/4 dynas and catted 2.5 y
